Benchmarking Policies and Initiatives Across the USA
This presentation provides an overview of the many benchmarking and disclosure initiatives evolving in states across the USA – including federal, state and local programs and mandates. The foundational principles supporting these initiatives and the benefits of benchmarking are discussed. It also presents leading benchmarking programs and results in various state and local jurisdictions.
Laurie Wiegand-Jackson, C.E.P, is the president and founder of Utility Advantage, a certified WBE and provider of energy consulting services since 2003. She has held positions in engineering, business development, management, strategic planning, and executive leadership for utilities, energy suppliers, data solutions providers, and ESCOs.
Ms. Wiegand-Jackson is also active in promoting the advancement of women in the energy industry. She founded the Council for Women in Energy and Environmental Leadership (CWEEL), a division of the Association of Energy Engineers in 2007, where she currently serves as the CWEEL Board Chair. She is a graduate of West Virginia University with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
